Atchetee Get Together

Do you like this post?

Wednesday morning we loaded our bags in Miss Ice Tea Too and took off to visit Harlo and Rhonda at Lake Conroe. We had a smooth flight at about 3,000 feet and flew over the lake house for pictures, after we figured out which one it was. Next we flew to Magnolia for photos of their home under construction, after we figured out which one it was! Things look really different from the air!
We landed in Navasota, where Dale had found hangar space for the plane for our stay. Harlo and Rhonda picked us up, and we were off for a yummy lunch. The new house is coming along, it is going to be really beautiful and very, very, BIG! That evening after a wild thunderstorm we gilled steaks out on the deck with some fresh corn, Rhonda prepared her world famous "Banana Pudding".

Dale and Harlo went flying the next morning, Rhonda and I went to get some ideas for window treatments......we met the guys back at the lake house for lunch. Later that day we went for a boat ride, looking at all the million dollar plus homes on Lake Conroe, it was great being out on the water with Rhonda at the wheel. That evening we went out to eat at a local restaurant on the lake. Friday morning we packed up, said our goodbyes and headed home before it got hot. We had to climbed to about 7,000 feet to stay above the clouds, but the ride was smooth and cool. We landed at Victoria and put the plane away.
We enjoyed a long overdue visit and had lots of laughs.
